Tomás Timbane takes part in official visit of the President of the Republic to the Netherlands

Tomás Timbane is one of the members of the business mission of the CTA (Confederation of Economic Associations of Mozambique), which is part of the official Gazette of the President of the Republic, Presidente da República Filipe Nyusi to the Netherlands This three-day visit begins today and ends on 19 May.

The mission also includes Mozambican entrepreneurs from a range of business areas, and the presidential group includes the Ministers for Foreign Affairs and for Cooperation, Transport and Communications, Public Works, Housing and Water Resources. It also includes the Deputy Minister of Commerce and Industry, and the first lady.

The CTA mission is visiting the Netherlands at the invitation of King Willem-Alexander and is part of the Mozambique-Netherlands and business Forum that will be held tomorrow at the World Trade Center in The Hague. The aim of the former is to promote partnerships and investment opportunities in sectors including oil and gas, agro-industry and fisheries, banking, transport and logistics, supplies, and water management.

Mozambique and the Netherlands have been engaging in economic cooperation for more than 40 years and this covers a number of areas. Sharing knowledge between the two countries, particularly in the areas of hydrocarbons and family planning, is one of the principal focuses to bring ever closer relations over the coming years.
