TTA Law Firm, member of PLMJ International Legal Network, shortlisted for the African Law Firm of the Year Award

Tomás Timbane Associados - Sociedade de Advogados has been shortlisted for the third year in a row in 'The African Legal Awards', organised by Legal Week

TTA, the member firm of PLMJ International Legal Network in Mozambique, has once again been shortlisted in the category "African Law Firm of the Year - Small Practice" of the African Legal Awards, from the prestigious British magazine Legal Week. TTA is the only firm belonging to a legal network from the Portuguese-speaking countries to receive this international recognition.

According to the partner who heads TTA, Tomás Timbane, "this nomination is very important not only for TTA, but also for the Mozambican legal profession and the work it does in Portuguese-speaking African countries. It proves the quality and competence of our lawyers and the worth of our partnership with PLMJ, the leading law firm in Portugal. I cannot fail to highlight the work done with colleagues from PLMJ and from the other members of PLMJ International Legal Network, in Angola, China, Macao, Switzerland and the United Kingdom, who have helped us to build a truly international practice".

Legal Week has been organising the Africa Legal Awards since 2012 as a way to spotlight and recognise African law firms that focus on excellence and innovation in the legal industry. Africa has been at the top of the international agenda when it comes to movements of law firms and because of the important role these firms play in major investment and infrastructure operations.

The results will be announced in Johannesburg, South Africa, at a ceremony taking place on 16 October this year.
