Miguel Amado, the curator of the PLMJ Foundation was in Mozambique recently to give a lecture in the topic "Curatorship and Art: Current Challenges". The lecture had an impact on the Mozambique media and, in particular, the weekly Sol de Moçambique, which explained the role of curator in the art world. The newspaper made reference to the fact that the curator of the PLMJ Foundation had spoken about the need to bring the role of curator to Mozambique, a country which is increasingly seem as an emerging market for art, where the presence and work of professionals specialising in art will be a necessity. This will make it possible for the good work that has been done in internationalising Mozambican art to continue.
