By Ministerial Order no. 39/201 of 15 May, the Ministry of Industry and Commerce and the Ministry of the Economy and Finances have approved new amounts for the fees to be charged to register and maintain industrial property rights. This legislation repeals the fees in force up to now, approved by Ministerial Order no. 188/2006 of 13 of December, which approved the amounts of the fees to be charged for the services provided by the Institute of Industrial Property (IIP).
A comparative analysis of the two fee tables shows us two things:
(i) The fees have been increased, and
(ii) The new table has introduced fees for services that were not provided for in the previous table.
